- In 2002, I had the remarkable experience of finding myself one of the original 12 co-founders of Gather the Women... and felt like I had found my way home. I remained in the core leadership circle of that growing global community for five amazing years, grateful to be able to weave together my years of experience as a teacher and writer, as a non-profit director and a psychotherapist, as a mother and a community organizer with my passion about the value of women to the world. This past year, I took a big leap into the unknown by stepping out of the Gather the Women leadership circle and opening myself to new opportunities. I heard Spirit whisper in my ear that it was time to clear the way for something new. I continue to be amazed at the collaborative conversations and creative possibilities that keep showing up at the door to my heart. I have been inspired and informed by my personal relationships with so many remarkable women around the world. I am especially grateful for the support of my husband Doug and my two sweet and handsome sons who tower above me and live in my heart at the same time.
