Fundraiser for Kenyan Women Septemeber 1

Those of you who are in southern California are invited to come join the fun:
All women, Whole world, Same Same
Tuesday, September 1
7-10 pm
27711 Deputy Circle
Laguna Hills, CA 92653
$20 at the door
This is a fundraiser for Mama na Dada, an NGO based in Kunya Village, Kenya which provides a comprehensive network of services for the empowerment of women and girls of that region.
I had the opportunity to visit Kunya Village in 2006 when I attended the Grassroots African Women's Conference in Bondo, Kenya and I have the great joy of loving Mama na Dada's founder Joyce Oneko as a friend and a sister of the heart. Joyce is an incredible leader, not just in her village of Kunya but through her visionary work on behalf of all the people of East Africa.
For those of you who live far away from southern California, I know that your donation would be greatly appreciated and wisely used to directly improve the lives of girls and women in Kenya. You can mail a check made out to 'Village Volunteers' to me at the address listed above. Village Volunteers is a 501.c.3 tax-exempt organization in the U.S. which is passing along 100% of all donations directly to Mama na Dada.
This is your opportunity to act locally and connect globally.
